(A Message from Ty Holmes)

Some causes don’t just speak to your heart — they come from it. For me, Chop Out Hunger and the Scranton Counseling Center represent two defining chapters of my life: hunger and healing.

Chop Out Hunger — Feeding Hope

What began in one kitchen six years ago — feeding just 45 kids — has grown into a movement nourishing thousands across our community. It wasn’t built on money; it was built on love.

I connect deeply with this mission because I was once that kid — hungry, uncertain, and saved by the kindness of others. Chop Out Hunger isn’t only fighting food insecurity; it’s restoring dignity and hope.

Scranton Counseling Center — Healing Hearts and Minds

Before I was adopted, I experienced trauma that left deep emotional scars. The compassion and care I later received helped me begin to heal — a journey that continues through my own challenges with PTSD.

The Scranton Counseling Center provides that same lifeline for countless others. They give people a place to be heard, to heal, and to start again. Their work saves lives every single day — I’m living proof of that.

Why I Stand With Them Both

These two organizations embody what’s best in us: compassion in action.

When you support them, you’re not just donating — you’re feeding a child, helping a family heal, and reminding someone they’re not alone.

We can’t wait for “someone else” to act. We are the someone else.

Stand with me. Support these organizations. Share their stories.

Because when we give, we don’t just change lives we save them.

-Ty
